Reiki Council Learning Center is going cutting edge once again.  If you can be in the Chicago area, you can still enjoy our classes live and in-person. However, we have heard from so many people around the world saying they would like to experience our classes in an online format because getting to the classes can be challenging - especially our multi-week programs. To answer that, we started with creating an online version of our incredibly popular Metaphysics 101 Workshop.  This allows people from anywhere in the world to learn the same great information at your own pace and from anywhere you can get online. Now, we are going 1 better.  We are lining up the live classes with the online classes.  Participants in the live classes can review what they learn in the online course.  And, participants in both the live classroom and online course can discuss experiences, thoughts, and concepts in our discussion forums and Q&A conference calls with everyone attending either the live or online course! January 2010:  Celebrating 25 Years Teaching Together!

On January 20th, Rick and Connie Vrenios marked a major milestone in their career. It was 25 years ago to the day, that Rick and Connie first shared a classroom. Since then, they have been helping others heal, learn, and discover more about their own spirits and the spiritual workings of the universe around them.

June 2009:  New CD Released!  Metaphysics 101 - Vol 3

The next volume of Rick & Connie's Metaphysics 101 Workshop on CD Series is here! February 2009:  Just Announced - We're Returning to Arizona!

We are pleased to announce that we are returning once again to Arizona and bringing some new classes. We are finalizing the details for a series of programs in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area on May 1-3.  Details coming soon! Then, May 4-10th, we are leading our annual Reiki Retreat in Sedona.  This year's theme is the Seven Spiritual Medicines.  We'll be there 7 days, so we will immerse ourselves in the wisdom of one spiritual medicine per day.

 

January 2009:  Rick & Connie to Teach Classes in Hawaii!

Rick and Connie have been invited to teach in Hawaii.  On January 23rd, we'll be presenting our brand new The Essence of Aloha Workshop on Moloka'i, and on Feb 3rd, we'll be teaching the same program at The Sacred Garden in Makawao on Maui. January 2009:  New Authorizations in Hawaiian Training!

The lineage elder, Kaleolani Spencer gave Rick Vrenios the blessings and authorization to begin teaching the Intermediate Level trainings. After a very successful class this month co-teaching with his Kumu, the decision was made that Rick was ready and had acquired all the needed skills. Rick will soon begin actively training with his Kumu for the skills required to teach the advanced level course. Rumor has it that he will be teaching an Intermediate class in Hawaii in August 2009!  Watch for details.

January 2009:  New CD Released!

Rick and Connie just completed work on the Metaphysics 101 - Volume 2 workshop on CD. The new audio program is an excellent 2-CD set with more than 2 hours of fascinating information, guided meditations, and powerful techniques and tools. December 2008:  New CD Released!

Rick and Connie have undertaken an exciting new recording project and step one is complete!  The most popular workshop of 2008 was definitely the Metaphysics 101 course.  Now, we are taking that 8 week live course and recording it as a 17-CD, 9 Volume set. Volume 1 - Manifestation:  The Secrets of Co-Creation is now complete and in-stock!  It's a great program that you will want to listen again and again. June 2008:  Massage Magazine Publishes Reiki Article by Rick & Connie

Massage Magazine published a great feature article written by the Reiki Council's very own Connie and Rick Vrenios. The article entitled "Reiki and Massage:  A Match Made In Heaven" discusses the blending of Reiki and Massage to add an extra dimension to the client's experience.  And, it talks about ways to use Reiki to support the needs of the therapist! The magazine is on newsstands now!

May 2008:  Sanctuary School Wins Award!

The Sanctuary School of Therapeutic Massage and Energy Medicine, and Rick and Connie Vrenios were awarded a very special honor this month! Even though the school closed in November of 2007, it was recognized as: Best of Glen Ellyn 2008 Award! We are grateful and truly surprised by this honor.  Having a 93.75% graduation rate and a 100% pass rate on the national certification and state licensing exam is a remarkable accomplishment.

April 2008:  Texas Massage Board Accepts Reiki Council Classes!

Texas Massage Therapists!  Texas Department of State Health Services notified the Reiki Council that our courses will be accepted for Massage Therapy licensing renewal! If you would like us to bring our unique and innovative workshop programs to your area, please give us a call:  630-926-5891.

February 2008:  Just Added!  Ethics Courses for Massage Therapists

Massage Therapists!  Your license renewal is coming up fast.  All Illinois massage therapists must complete at least 2 hours of ethics training to qualify for license renewal!  Are you ready? If not, Rick and Connie have just released our brand new course, Ethics of Privacy & Consent.  This 3 hour course will meet your state license requirement and cover 50% of your national certification requirement.   The program will be open to the public on April 4th, and most likely once or twice more before the end of the year.

December 2007 - Brand New Programs for 2008 Announced!

In 2008, the Reiki Council is announcing brand new courses, workshops, and programs.  The creativity of Rick and Connie has been overflowing and they are both back writing and creating.  Some of the new programs include: Spiritual Cure for All Disease - a 2-1/2 hour introductory program and a weekend intensive workshop Introduction to Reflexology - a 1-day introduction -- perfect for couples, interested individuals, or people wanting to try our style of working before attending our full certification program. Metaphysics 101 - an 8-week (1-evening per week) course exploring the potentials of mind, body, and spirit. Practice Success Series - 10 weekly (1-evening per week) courses covering facets of building a successful practice. A Master's Course in the Chakra System - Brand new weekend intensive workshop, new exercises & new information. November 2007 - We're Moving Back to Building 6!

With the closing of the Sanctuary School, we no longer need the large amount of space.  Plus, we are taking Reiki Council events on the road, so many programs will be presented around Chicago and around the country. You can find us in the same complex, but now we are in Building 6, Suite 016 on the lower level.  Our new offices are intended to serve as administrative offices, and support our re-focusing back to our private practices.  We will host some small events here, but we expect these to be minimal. For our medium and large events, we will be hosting the programs in the conference rooms on the lower level in Building 4 or at local hotels. Our mailing address is: Reiki Council 165 S. October 2007 - Approved for Massage Therapy CE Hours by Florida!

The Reiki Council received more great news.  The State of Florida has approved the Reiki Council as a continuing education provider for massage therapy licensing renewal. We are seeking hosts and sponsors in Florida to organize programs locally.  If you are a Florida resident and would like to see our classes in your area, please call or e-mail us!

August 2007 - Approved for Massage Therapy CE Hours by Illinois!

With the breaking news that the Reiki Council has received approval by the NCBTMB as a continuing education provider, we also receive an automatic approval by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation and the Illinois Massage Board as continuing education providers for Illinois Licensing Renewal! This means that the closing of the Sanctuary School will have no negative impact on your ability to receive the education you want and still receive the credit you deserve!
